VNU Exhibitions launches Softworld Total Business Solutions an all new national showcase taking place in autumn 2006.

As of 1 May 2004, Imark Communications has a new name – VNU Exhibitions Europe.  Our ambition is clear: better and broader service to exhibitors and exhibition visitors.

VNU Exhibitions Europe organises events in the UK, Netherlands and Italy. VNU Exhibitions Asia operates in China and elsewhere in Asia.  VNU Exhibitions combines event organisation skills with marketing expertise. The result is an organisation that differs from other event companies in the strength of its integrated marketing to targeted groups.  It is not about square metres, it is about exhibitors’ profits.

The new name emphasises the fact that the company is part of a listed and worldwide information services group, which also means quicker and better access to new European markets.

The companies
In the UK, VNU Exhibitions is responsible for more than 15 specialist IT and Information events, including the market-leading Softworld, Computer Trade Show and Online Information brands.

In the Netherlands, VNU Exhibitions Europe organises 50 events.  The company is national market leader in the specialist events sector, while the number of consumer exhibitions is also increasing.  Main consumer titles include the Vakantiebeurs, Holland Art Fair, KreaDoe, Margriet Winter Fair.

In Italy, the Bias Group  specialises in industrial automation events.

In Asia, VNU Exhibitions is among the top three exhibition-organisers in Shanghai. Growth is expected to result mainly from joint ventures with third parties with VNU’s contact network being used actively to facilitate expansion.
